Computer/Web Protection Services
We can help protect you and your family from the dangers of the internet. With this service, we will check your computer’s security and enable filtering on your internet connection that will help prevent browsing to inappropriate and/or dangerous web sites. This service will help limit exposure to sites that could transmit viruses and spyware to your computer and will help protect users from browsing to sites that you want to restrict.
New Computer Install
Let us install your new PC or MAC. We will unpack your new computer, set it up, transfer your data from your old computer, connect it to the internet/network, and setup your e-mail. If you have programs that you need installed, we will do that too. If you are getting a new PC, we will also remove all of the standard bloatware that is usually installed to help your PC run smoother and faster.
Spyware/Virus Removal
Viruses and spyware are not only nuisances that slow your computer and make it unusable, they are security risks that can be used to steal passwords and personal information. We can remove these threats to help protect your privacy and improve your computer's performance.
Networking
Home Computer Experts can set up your wireless network to enable all of your devices to connect to the internet and share files between computers. Anyone can set up a wireless network……the wrong way. We can set it up correctly and securely. We can also troubleshoot your existing network if you are experiencing problems. Our flat rate labor pricing extends to networking, minus the “per computer” charge. (Computers must be free of spyware and viruses.)
Data Backup
We recommend that your data be backed up before needing service on your computer. If you need data backup, we offer that service. Our price for a one-time data backup performed in-shop is $79.00. The price for a one-time data backup performed in your home is $159.99. Data backup rates include restoring data to the same computer if needed or to another computer if you are moving to a new computer. Data backup rates do not include media needed for backup. Once your computer is back up and running, we will recommend a backup plan for your needs so that your important data is always protected.
Data Recovery
If you need to recover files that were accidently deleted or files from a failing hard drive, we can help. Call to discuss any data recovery needs that you have.
Training
We can help you learn to use your new PC or MAC. Training is done in your home so you can learn on your computer about things that matter to you. Rates for training are $99.99 per hour.

How We Keep Prices Low

We do as much work as possible in our shop. Work is performed in your home only when requested or necessary. We know that some people are uncomfortable with having to disconnect the computer and then reconnect everything back when your computer is fixed. We agree it can be a burden to make two trips to our office, first to drop it off and then have to come back and pick it up. We understand it disrupts daily schedules for you to have to be home for hours while we are fixing your computer. The price of $179.99 includes free pick up and drop off of your computer for your convenience so you do not have to worry about these things. In addition, there are other benefits to you for computers that we work on in our shop, whether you bring it to us or we pick it up.

In Shop Repair Advantages

For any service over 1 hour includes (at no additional cost to customer):

Install all updates for Operating System to help computer run better and protect from spyware and viruses
Update all programs that are known entry points for spyware and viruses
Clean computer inside and out
Perform security check of computer
Check antivirus software. If none, install if purchased.
Check for spyware protection. If none, install if purchased.
Scan for and remove spyware and viruses.

Flat Rate Labor Pricing

We don’t speak geek! We are regular people. We know what home users want and need, which is why we have introduced our flat-rate labor pricing. With a flat-rate labor price, you will know what you will pay to get your computer fixed. We have simple and easy to understand prices.

Details:
1. The quick fix is subject to manager's discretion and usually includes fixes that take less than 30 minutes. Examples of services that would fall into this category would be RAM upgrade or software install.
2. Out of area charges may apply.
3. For repairs estimated to take longer than 3 hours, computers will be picked up and repaired in our shop and then brought back and hooked up when done.
Note: Prices are per computer, unless noted otherwise. Prices do not include any hardware that is needed to repair computer. Data backup/restore not included. Prices are subject to change

When working in your home, discounts for multiple computers will be applied. After first computer, each additional computer will be charged at in-shop price. The discount only applies when computers are available to be worked on at the same time. Special rates also apply for networking.
